The Station House Hotel, Kilmessan are currently seeking to recruit a part time Senior Hotel Receptionist. The Role of Receptionist is to be responsible for the day to day running of the front of house and providing a welcoming, friendly and efficient service to all hotel guests, in line with the hotels vision and values.

The main responsibilities of a hotel receptionist will be to assist management in the day to day running of the Front of House area of the hotel, respond to guest requests, and maintain up to date records in the hotels PMS systems.

The reception team are expected to have High Standards of dress and presentation.

While no previous hotel reception experience is essential applicants must have the following skill set:

· Excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone.

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Ability to work well both in a team and as a solo receptionist

· Excellent attention to detail

· Impeccable organisational skills

· Availability for Shift Work.

Main Tasks and responsibilities

· To Meet and greet guests on arrival, attend to their needs and maintain excellent customer service

· Resolve any guest complaints or issues quickly and to the guests satisfaction to ensure high quality customer service

· Responsibility for accurate accounts and guest billing, adhering to the hotel policies of payments and cash handling.

· To contribute to keeping the Hotel, including back of house areas clean and tidy in line with the hotels policy

· To undertake general administration duties, including email correspondence and answering the switchboard to ensure smooth running of the hotel reception.

· To maintain the hotel PMS, ensuring reservations and cancellations are recorded accurately and efficiently

· To keep up to date with selling prices and special offers that are available

· To report any health & safety issues, maintenance, breakage or cleanliness problems to the manager on duty

· To be responsible for the general petty cash and float, ensuring accurate records are kept.

· To partake in any training required

· To up-sell hotel services and facilities at all opportunities

· To ensure all shift procedures are carried out within the correct time frames

· To thoroughly handover to the incoming shift

Pay: From €14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 38 per week
