Job Overview:
Seeking a Financial Accountant to spearhead core financial processes and contribute to various projects.
* Compile monthly management accounts and assist with financial reporting.
* Verify general ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
* Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
* Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
* Collaborate with auditors in the external audit process, preparing schedules as required.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable tasks.
* Perform regular bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis.
* Review and enhance internal controls for compliance.
* Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and offer analytical insights for decision-making.
Essential Qualifications:
* Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
* At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in an SME environment.
* Ideal candidates will have some experience implementing new systems and driving improvements.
