Exciting opportunity to join an expanding company who will support your career growth and development. As a Junior QS/Estimator you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial team with accurate cost management with an opportunity to be involved in the sales function.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Reviewing tender enquiries and tender analysis
2. Consult with Clients to understand their requirements
3. Preparation and submission of Pricing Proposals in conjunction with the Head of Sales
4. Timely follow-up of submissions with designated Customer accounts.
5. Contract Administration - Execution of Sub-Contract and Collateral Warranty agreements, monitoring compliance and managing variations.
6. Risk Management – Identify and assess financial and contractual risks
7. Conducting Project Cost Analysis and preparing reports for senior management
8. Variation negotiation and administration
9. Liaising with Suppliers on product and pricing updates
10. Final Account preparations, ensuring all costs are accounted for in order to ensure timely settlement.
11. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant standards, regulations and company policies.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field
* Minimum 1 year of experience in the construction sector
* Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
* Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce), Microsoft office Suite and AutoCAD or similar having maintained detailed records of estimating records and customer interactions.
* Must be able to work on own initiative and under pressure
* Excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
* Analytical thinking skills
* Full Clean driver's license
