Commercial Management Assistant
We are seeking a talented Commercial Management Assistant to join our team and support the commercial team with accurate cost management. This role provides an opportunity to be involved in the sales function and work closely with senior management.
* The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and AutoCAD or similar software.
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is essential, as well as a minimum of 1 year's experience in the construction sector.
* The successful candidate will be able to identify and assess financial and contractual risks, administer contracts, and negotiate variations.
* In addition, they will provide reports for senior management, ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and company policies, and liaise with suppliers regarding product and pricing updates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review tender enquiries and analyses to inform informed business decisions.
* Consult with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
* Prepare and submit pricing proposals in conjunction with the Head of Sales, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Follow up on submissions with designated customer accounts to maintain strong relationships.
* Administer contracts, including sub-contracts and collateral warranties, and manage variations to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
* Identify and assess financial and contractual risks to inform strategic decision-making.
* Analyse project costs and prepare reports for senior management to inform budgeting and forecasting.
* Negotiate and administer variations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Liaise with suppliers regarding product and pricing updates to ensure competitiveness and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and company policies to maintain a positive reputation and avoid reputational risk.
