**The Role**The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the safe, efficient repair, maintenance and operation of all electrical and associated building services within the hospital, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and hospital policies at all times.
**Key Responsibilities*** Carry out maintenance, repair and upkeep of all electrical systems and building services across the hospital.
* Maintain and operate plant and equipment including electrical distribution, generators, UPS, air conditioning and related systems.
* Deliver preventative maintenance programmes and respond to breakdowns and emergencies, including out-of-hours and on-call duties.
* Supervise and coordinate staff and contractors for assigned tasks.
* Work collaboratively with other maintenance trades and departments.
* Monitor systems, keep accurate records, logs and test results.
* Manage and support computerised maintenance systems and the Building Energy Management System to optimise energy use.
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and hospital policies, promoting safe working practices.
* Participate in training and undertake additional duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
**Person Specification****Education:*** Time served as an electrical craftsman to senior level trade standards or similar**Experience:*** Experience working in a facilities/maintenance environment.
