We at Comer Group Ireland have an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Accountant to join our team in our head office in Johnstown, Co. Kildare.
The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Financial Director leading the Finance team to achieve the common objective to ensure that all financial aspects of the business are managed, audited and controlled at all times. To provide support to the Group Finance Director and Payroll Manager as required, occasionally assisting in other areas of the business on Finance matters such as cost analysis, expenditure, profits and reporting.

Responsibilities
Bank reconciliations, bank postings and bank transaction analysis
Ensuring periodical General Ledger postings are accurate
Prepare variance analysis of financial results for month end reporting
Various balance sheet maintenance and reconciliations
Producing cashflow reports
Revenue reporting and reconciliations
Drive ERP systems initiatives
Driving processes improvement for General ledger activities
Billing and credit control reporting
Furnishing senior leadership team with KPI reports on revenue, billing, and credit control
Credit control reporting and management of aged debts
Creditor invoice posting and reconciliation
Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation
Accrual and prepayment calculations
Assist in the preparation of various monthly management accounts
Preparation of statutory returns e.g. P30, Form P35, Form VAT3 etc.
Manage cash flows and project working capital requirements of the business
Overseeing the debtors and creditors ledgers
Assisting with year-end close including liaising with external auditors
Assisting in the compilation of budgets and forecasts covering all activities of the group
Ensure the company code of conduct and team handbook are adhered to
Qualifications and Knowledge
ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with at least five years' post-qualified experience in a medium sized practice
A self-starter who can add real value in this challenging role
Ability to work effectively both on your own and within a team
Be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making and have a hands‑on approach
A person with the confidence to develop and implement initiatives, problem solve, and deliver effective solutions
Highly IT literate
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role as it will involve interaction with various key internal and external stakeholders
Strong financial acumen and technical ability
Experience with TAS Books and Thesaurus is desirable
