This is a key position responsible for managing the Credit Control Function and implementing Credit Control policies and procedures.
Gurranabraher Credit Union, a community-based Credit Union, serves a membership of 15,000 and manages assets of over 102 million Euro.
About the RoleThe position will have overall responsibility for the credit control function within the credit union.
We operate offices in Cork city on Bakers Road Gurranabraher and Harbourview Road, Knocknaheeny.
The role is Office based and is a Permanent Contract with a competitive salary and conditions.
Reporting the CEO and/or FC, the Credit Controller will handle a wide range of credit control and administrative duties, including:
Carrying out day-to-day credit control administrative tasks.Implement a communication process inclusive of telephone, texts, email, and direct meetings with members in arrears.Providing efficient service and support to membersMinimizing the number of accounts in arrearsMonitoring both live and charged-off loans.Keeping member details up to date in the credit control IT systemCompiling monthly and quarterly reports for the CEO/FC and Credit Control Committee.Liaising with company solicitorsAttending court when required to represent the credit union.Supporting new credit arrangementsBe familiar with the Credit Control Policy and Procedures and be a key contributor to the development of new processes and policies. The Ideal CandidateHolds aQFAor another relevant professional qualification.Has strong analytical and communication skillsHave strong IT Skills in Excel, Word, and Communications Software.Works well both independently and as part of a team.Has experience in a similar role within a financial services organisation, particularly in credit control.Will undertake such other reasonable duties as may be assigned from time to time by the CEO.Please apply via email enclosing a detailed CV outlining experience and qualifications.
