Location: Muckross Road
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and proactive General Maintenance Operative to support the smooth running of our hotel and entertainment complex. This role involves hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and working in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance duties including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor repairs
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments across the hotel
Conduct routine inspections of equipment, fixtures, and public areas
Support planned preventative maintenance programmes
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health & safety procedures
Assist with setup and maintenance for events, functions, and seasonal operations
Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in good working order
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to deliver a high standard of service
Required Criteria
Previous experience in a general maintenance, facilities, or similar role
Strong practical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
A positive, can‑do attitude with a commitment to high standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and organisational skills
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, when required
A qualification in a trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry) is an advantage but not essential
