About Your New Role
As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work across a range of residential and commercial developments, taking responsibility for full electrical building services design from concept through to handover. You will lead design stages, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical leadership across projects.
Leading the design of LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, containment, and general building services electrical systems.
Producing technical calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications to required standards.
Coordinating closely with mechanical, architectural and structural teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical services.
Managing design deliverables across RIBA stages, ensuring work is technically sound and meets client requirements.
Reviewing drawings, submittals and technical queries during construction.
Supporting site inspections, commissioning reviews and client meetings.
Mentoring junior engineers, reviewing work and providing technical oversight.
Contributing to quality assurance, sustainability considerations and design best practices.
Representing the electrical discipline in client, design team and internal project meetings.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
6–10+ years’ experience in electrical building services design.
Strong capability in LV systems design, lighting design, earthing/bonding, life safety systems and energy‑efficient solutions.
Residential or commercial building experience is essential.
Proficiency in relevant design software (Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech or equivalent).
Working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, ET101, IS standards and general industry design codes.
Ability to coordinate across disciplines and communicate effectively with clients and design teams.
Experience managing deliverables, deadlines and small project teams.
Chartered or working toward chartership is an advantage.
