As a General Operative, you play a vital role in supporting the manufacturing and assembly of light gauge steel housing units for offsite construction. This role is hands-on and dynamic, requiring a team-oriented approach, a strong focus on quality and safety, and a commitment to achieving production targets efficiently.
Your Key Responsibilities
Production & Assembly
* Operate machinery and tools to manufacture light gauge steel housing units.
* Assemble structures accurately following technical drawings and instructions.
* Perform visual inspections and quality checks on products before and after assembly.
Health, Safety & Quality
* Follow all site safety rules and wear the required PPE at all times.
* Report any hazards, near misses, damaged tools, or equipment immediately.
* Support the company's commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and quality-focused workplace.
Efficiency & Teamwork
* Work collaboratively to meet production goals and deadlines.
* Follow work schedules, supervisor instructions, and job orders efficiently.
* Contribute ideas to improve work processes and reduce waste.
Maintenance & Housekeeping
* Keep tools, workstations, and the factory floor clean and orderly.
* Carry out basic maintenance checks and cleaning of equipment used.
