Senior Tax Manager - Waterford (Hybrid)
The Role
This is a newly created Senior Tax Manager position within the firm’s tax department. The role will focus on managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, while supporting partners on a range of advisory projects. You will play a key part in developing the firm’s compliance and advisory tax offering and in mentoring junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, ensuring high-quality compliance and advisory delivery.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Work with partners on tax advisory assignments, including due diligence, IP planning and group reorganisations.
Liaise with other departments on cross-functional projects and business development initiatives.
Contribute to the operational management and development of the tax department.
Lead, coach and mentor junior tax staff and support in attracting and retaining talent.
Candidate Profile
Professional qualification preferred: ITI / CTA / ACA / ACCA (or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years’ experience at manager level in an Irish tax practice.
Proven experience managing a client portfolio with strong commercial awareness.
Strong technical tax skills across key tax heads and exposure to advisory work.
Experience with FDI and personal tax planning is an advantage but not essential.
Demonstrated people management and mentoring experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
