We currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer to work on a Data Centre construction project adjacent to a power plant.
Experience in construction related to 220kv Substations is considered a MUST HAVE.
The role will be site based, similar to Resident Engineer responsibility.
Responsibilities:
* Support the lead Electrical Engineer with electrical aspects and evaluations of early-stage development projects.
* Support the Grid & Electrical Team in all aspects of project delivery / contract management to ensure that electrical elements of projects including contestable grid infrastructure are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected quality standard.
* Electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in specifications.
* Witness site acceptance tests for all major electrical plant and attend factory acceptance tests where required.
* Update and record project progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.
* Work as an integral part of the commissioning process and review commissioning requirements where required.
* Interface with Irish system operators
Requirements:
* Proven experience in the design and construction of HV/MV substations and/or HV/MV electrical infrastructure projects
* Experience in utility grid contestable design & delivery.
* Qualification / Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Full Driving License
* Proven experience in design and construction of renewable project electrical works packages.
* Interaction with Irish System Operators (Transmission/Distribution).
* Utility scale renewable generation projects.
* Experience with AutoCAD.
* Experience in Substation Construction at 110 and 220 kV voltage levels.
* Proven experience in the development and delivery of large-scale electrical engineering projects.
Contract duration: 10 month, starting January 2026
