Job Description
* Monitoring calves for signs of potential disease to ensure livestock remain in optimum health.
* Administering medications, vaccines and conducting other medical care.
* Reviewing and maintaining pens, buildings and other areas to ensure the areas remain hygienic.
* Ensuring continuous provision of correct food and water for livestock dietary requirements.
* Recording of information including: weights, ages, food intake, traceability.
* Handling/moving livestock.
* Operating plant and farm equipment and machinery.
* General Animal husbandry to include the rearing of calves.
The ideal candidate must have excellent understanding, competence and demonstratable experience of:
* Animal Welfare
* Hygiene Practices
* Livestock (Cattle) Handling
* Ability to operate farm machinery
* Animal Husbandry (administration of medication, supplements and diet feeding)
* Practical farming skills
Provisions: Accommodation will be provided on the farm. Language training will be provided as required. Hours per week: 39 Hours Per Week. Salary: 34,000.00 Per Annum.
