Job overview
The School Food Company provides fresh, healthy lunches that are cooked daily in onsite kitchens installed in schools.
Responsibilities
Cook meals from scratch, including peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients every day.
Assist with the hustle and bustle of a fast‑paced commercial kitchen.
Serve students during each break, including cash handling.
Maintain high standards of HACCP food safety and hygiene.
Work a rotating roster of 2–3 days per week, with a half day on Fridays.
Prepare for scheduled time off during midterms, Christmas, Easter, and summer (unpaid).
Qualifications
Willingness to move between schools within a 30‑minute drive.
Successful Garda vetting and completion of a Child Protection Course.
Experience in catering or home cooking is a strong advantage.
Positive attitude and the ability to work flexibly Monday‑Friday.
Ability to work 10–15 hours per week on a rotating schedule.
