OverviewWe are hiring for the next generation of Lift Engineers as an Apprentice Lift Engineer in the Dublin area. The programme is four years and includes the SOLAS Apprenticeship, the NVQ, and field experience. At the end of the apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified lift engineer. Depending on business needs, there may be opportunities to join one of our Field Operation teams after graduation.Location: Dublin, IrelandJob ID: 79274ResponsibilitiesParticipate in a four-year apprenticeship to become a qualified lift engineer.Learn on-the-job across lifting equipment and responsible for safety, reliability and customer-focused service.Progress through SOLAS Apprenticeship and NVQ requirements; gain field experience and practical engineering skills.Potential for placement in Schindler Field Operation teams upon graduation when a relevant position is available.Candidate RequirementsMinimum age 16 years.Educational requirements: Grade D Pass in five subjects in the Junior Certificate or approved equivalent, or completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship, or three years of relevant work experience as deemed acceptable by SOLAS; subjects such as Mathematics, Technology, Technical Drawing/Graphics, Physics and Construction Studies are advantageous but not essential.Good communication and customer service skills.Logical thinking and practical skills; analytical personal qualities.Working WeekMonday to Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm; Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.
