POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Systems Administrator is solely responsible for overseeing all IT operations at our clients healthcare manufacturing facility, including systems, infrastructure, applications, business intelligence solutions, and service provider management whilst providing technical support to ensure operational excellence.
Compliance with ISO 13485: Steripack Ireland adherence to ISO 13485 standard, including the responsibility for maintaining and improving the quality management system. All employees shall contribute to this aspect where reasonable and depending on the scope of the position responsibilities.
Documentation and Record Keeping: The creation, maintenance, and management of quality-related documents and records is an aspect of all employees. Adherence to document best practices as described in internal procedures are critical towards adherence to ISO 13485 standard.
Effective communication with other departments, management, and regulatory authorities regarding quality issues and compliance with ISO 13485 is an aspect where reasonable and depending on the scope of the position responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Involved in the day to day operations of the IT function, including but not limited to:
Manage and maintain all IT systems, infrastructure, servers (physical and virtual), and network components
Implement and monitor robust backup solutions ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery
Develop, modify and maintain PowerBI dashboards for business intelligence reporting and data analytics
Administer and customise ERP system, ensuring alignment with business requirements
Perform business analysis to identify process improvements and technology solutions
Lead change management processes in accordance with medical device/pharmaceutical regulations
Manage IT service providers (internet connectivity, printing services, mobile phones, telecommunications)
Configure and maintain WiFi networks throughout the facility
Provide Tier 1 technical support to end-users and conduct new employee IT onboarding
Document and maintain IT policies, procedures and system configurations
Implement cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Support manufacturing systems and shop floor technology integration
Conduct regular system audits and performance optimisations
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Strong knowledge of server administration, virtualisation technologies, and network infrastructure
Expertise in PowerBI or similar business intelligence platforms
Proficiency in ERP systems administration and customisation
Understanding of change management protocols in regulated environments
Knowledge of IT security best practices and regulatory compliance in healthcare manufacturing
Familiarity with ISO 13485 and GxP requirements for IT systems
Business analysis skills with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years' experience in IT systems administration
Proven experience in manufacturing environments, particularly medical device or pharmaceutical
Experience managing IT infrastructure in regulated industries
Demonstrated expertise with ERP systems implementation and maintenance
Experience with change management processes and documentation
