In This Role, You Will:
* Active participation in cyber threat communities Bank of Ireland Group is a member of, including timely threat intelligence sharing with members and participation in relevant working groups and temporary secondments
* Triage and analysis of threat information provided by cyber threat intelligence partners / communities to identify cyber threats relevant to the Group and to communicate these to appropriate partners in an actionable and timely manner, including supporting the Security Incident Response team during incidents
* Establish and cultivate effective relationships within Group Information Security and Resilience (GISR), the wider Group and the cyber threat communities the Group is a member of
* In conjunction with the wider cyber intelligence team, maintain the Group's strategic and operational threat intelligence products including the Group's Cyber Threat Profile and a profile of relevant threat actors and their associated tactics, techniques and procedures in a Group context to enable proactive defence
What will make you stand out?
Demonstrated ability as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst or Lead with demonstrable enterprise experience in tactical and operational intelligence in a regulated environment will make you stand out!
Ability to develop a mental model of, and navigate, an enterprise organisation with a high degree of autonomy
Demonstrable understanding and practical experience in the application of standard threat intelligence methods and techniques such as Analysis of Competing Hypothesis and Diamond Model make you an attractive candidate.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products, in particular Excel
You will apply technical skills in a fast paced technical environment, and will be responsible for providing technical and operational analysis, support and troubleshooting when required for selected security controls operated by Security Engineering team.
Be responsible for deploying and maintaining new technical functionalities that support the GISR vision and other new services identified by management.
Essential Qualifications
* Honours Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
* CREST Practitioner Threat Intelligence Analyst (CPTIA)
* Equivalents of the above are also accepted
More About The Team
The Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team is a small but crucial team in Group Information Security. This role will be an integral part of that team operating at pace, supported by multiple industry recognised threat partners, to continuously monitor the threat landscape and undertake timely analysis and actionable reporting of tactical, operational and strategic cyber / cyber relevant geopolitical threats relevant to the Group. These intelligence products are critical to enabling effective decision making to prioritise and undertake corrective actions to proactively protect Group information and systems.
This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Baggot Plaza, Dublin 4. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager. #IJ-HYBRID
The Security Engineering Analyst will work as part of a skilled, hardworking team to deliver in the growing world of Security Engineering.
You will apply technical skills in a fast paced technical environment, and will be responsible for providing technical and operational analysis, support and troubleshooting when required for selected security controls operated by Security Engineering team.
This role will be responsible for deploying and maintaining new technical functionalities that support the Group Information Security & Resilience (GISR) vision and other new services identified by management.
In this Role, you will
* Perform remediation of technical problems and operational tasks as identified by the line manager
* Perform engineering support related to various technologies operated by GISR
* Support new activates as required and directed by line manager
* Actively participate in identifying new solutions and POC testing
* Participating in the operation and remediation of technical services as the need arises, including Process Documentation
What will make you stand out?
A firm grasp of IT security principles and practices, with experience in IT Security operations and/or Security Service delivery will make you stand out!
You are good at taking ownership of tasks and treating to completion, with strong social skills and ability to build productive working relationships with others
Having a customer Service focus and being open to change is crucial to succeed in the role.
Good technical knowledge of IT security systems and controls
Experience with hardware and software technical support, and good technical knowledge of Windows and Linux enterprise environments gives you an advantage.
Essential Qualifications
* 3rd level academic background in Information Technology or Information Security related disciplines
* Certifications in Information Security fields, e.g. CISSP, SSCP, SEC+ etc.
* Relevant technology certifications, e.g. Microsoft/Linux, VMWare, CyberArk etc
