This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded accountant to join a rapidly growing business in a key Finance Business Partner role.You will work closely with both the Finance Director and Facilities Director, providing high-quality financial insight, analysis, and support to drive profitable growth across the Facilities Management (FM) division. This is a fast-paced, hands-on commercial finance position offering broad exposure across all areas of the finance function from tender pricing to performance reporting and systems development.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a trusted advisor to operational and commercial teams, helping to improve financial performance and strategic decision-making.Commercial Finance & ReportingPartner with the Facilities Director and contract managers to review monthly performance, providing clear analysis of contract profitability, cost trends, and operational KPIs.Lead month-end gross margin reporting for the FM division, investigating anomalies and explaining results to key stakeholders.Support the production of Board packs and group reporting, ensuring accurate, timely financial information for senior management.Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term plans in collaboration with operations and finance colleagues.Provide financial input and challenge on new tenders, pricing models, and contract renewals to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.Conduct post-project reviews and margin analysis to identify improvement opportunities.Assist with financial reviews as required.Systems & Process DevelopmentSupport the Finance and IT teams on the implementation of the new ERP system (go-live planned for 2026), including testing, training, data validation, and report development.Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial processes, reporting quality, and data integrity.Strategic & Ad Hoc SupportWork with the Finance Director on group-level initiatives and ad hoc financial analysis.Drive continuous improvement across the finance function, focusing on delivering actionable insight to the business.Qualifications & ExperienceQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 2+ years PQE.Proven experience within Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related project-based environment.Strong understanding of contract accounting, cost control, and WIP management.Experience supporting tenders, pricing, or commercial decision-making.Exposure to new system implementation or process improvement projects is desirable.Commercially focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Confident communicator able to influence and challenge non-finance stakeholders.High attention to detail, combined with the ability to see the bigger picture.Proactive, energetic, and adaptable - comfortable working in a fast-growing, dynamic business.
