Trade Counter Sales Assistant
This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in the trade and retail industry, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with hands-on training and support for long-term career development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining stock levels.
* Serve customers at the trade counter, providing advice, quotations, and product information.
* Support store operations, including merchandising and stock replenishment.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
* Work as part of a team to achieve sales targets and branch objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide outstanding customer service to both trade and retail clients.
* Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
* Assist with deliveries and ensure proper storage of goods.
* Stay up to date with product knowledge and promotional activity.
* Support the team with stock control and inventory checks.
* Flexibility to work a six-day rota, including Saturdays.
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good organisational skills and attention to detail are also essential.
A background or interest in DIY, construction, or hardware is an advantage. The successful candidate will have a Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
