Job Description: Power Systems Engineer
We are recruiting a Power Systems Engineer for our client, a leading project management and consultancy firm operating across sectors such as pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, chemical, medical devices, waste treatment, and food and beverage.

Key Responsibilities:
* Proficient in HV topology design, including sub-station design, switchgear, earthing, lightning protection, busbar sizing, breaker sizing, and HV cable sizing.
* Ability to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of typical designs such as fixed/withdraw switchgear, RMUs, and primary/secondary switchgear.
* Interact effectively with utility providers.
* Design and create underground MV/HV routes and draw pits, including cable containment.
* Design transformer compounds and create BOQs.
* Design client control rooms, protection panels, UPS, remote control systems, and LV feed panels.
* Understand typical data centre power requirements.
* Size gas plants and generators appropriately.
* Coordinate with project managers on new projects and scopes.
* Create basis of design and estimates for new projects.
* Perform electrical design work, including MV and HV topology.
* Handle on-site faults related to transformers and switchgear.
* Deliver projects within budget and schedule constraints.
Key Requirements:
* Over 5 years of experience as a power system engineer covering the responsibilities listed above.
* Full Irish driving license.
* Proficiency in Dialux, Amtech (Trimble), Etap, Eracs Cdegs, with the ability to train others.
* Fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
