We are looking for talented individuals who can provide safe, high-quality patient-centred care across the perioperative journey.
Key Responsibilities include:
1.Scrub Nurse Duties: Prepare operating theatre, instruments, and equipment in line with clinical and infection-control standards. Assist surgeons during operative procedures across a range of specialties. Maintain accurate instrument, swab, and equipment counts. Uphold theatre safety protocols at all times.
2.Recovery (PACU) Nurse Duties: Provide immediate post-anaesthetic care by monitoring patient airway vital signs pain nausea overall stability.Manage post-operative complications promptly effectively.Deliver patient assessment reassurance discharge readiness checks.
3.Anaesthetic Nurse Duties: Assist anaesthetists during induction maintenance emergence from anaesthesia.Prepare check anaesthetic equipment medications emergency supplies.Support airway management patient positioning perioperative monitoring.General Responsibilities (All Perioperative Roles): Deliver safe evidence-based care following hospital policies HIQA standards professional guidelines.Participate in pre-operative assessment patient identification safety checklists e.g WHO Surgical Safety Checklist.Accurately document all care observations interventions in patient records.Uphold infection prevention control procedures including equipment cleaning environmental hygiene.Collaborate effectively with surgeons anaesthetists HCAs theatre colleagues ensure smooth patient flow.Participate audits quality improvement initiatives continuous service development.Maintain professional competence comply NMBI standards CPD requirements.
