Role Overview
UCC wishes to appoint a Payroll Enhancement Project Manager to lead a university-wide project, ensuring the accurate, compliant, and efficient delivery of two major Government legislative initiatives: Auto Enrolment, commencing on the 1st of January 2026 and the reporting to Revenue of each instance of remuneration of Single Public Sector Pension members commencing on the 1st of January 2027.
The successful candidate will also work in conjunction with People and Culture to review and enhance the hourly pay payroll processes - specifically to bring an employee hourly timesheet process online. The post holder will lead out on the process review for the management of the University's component of the National Payroll Shared Service system (HEPSS) rollout. The appointed person will need to be flexible in relation to the responsibilities and accountabilities and reporting line of their roles, which are subject to change in line with the wider developments underway of the Finance Office Functional Area. The post holder will model the university's values, leading positive culture and fostering good relationships across the Finance Office and across the University.
Requirements
Strong project management experience in payroll or related finance systems. Demonstrated ability to navigate complex government legislation and statutory reporting. Proven track record in process enhancement and the implementation of new payroll solutions. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits
Admin I Salary Scale: €84,422 - €111,211 (Scale B) / €81,518 - €105,648 (Scale A). Salary placement will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
