The Purpose of the Role
As a Data & Operations Specialist, you will provide administrative and analytic support to an Operations team in a manufacturing environment. Your goal is to adhere to standard operating procedures with a focus on safety, quality, people, and customer. Your success will contribute to the facilities throughput while simultaneously developing your own skills in a coveted and highly technical industry.
Person Specification
Advanced analytical capability with strong proficiency in data‑driven tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or equivalent platforms, with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to engage confidently and professionally with suppliers, factory teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders, ensuring clarity, alignment, and effective collaboration.
Work Schedule
39‑hour regular working week (Monday to Friday)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Data extraction & cleaning – pulling data from CRMs, ERPs, spreadsheets, or databases; fixing formatting issues; validating accuracy.
Report generation – producing daily/weekly/monthly operational reports (KPIs, SLAs, productivity, backlog, throughput).
Dashboard creation and maintenance – building and maintaining dashboards for operational metrics such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
Monitoring operational metrics – tracking performance, spotting anomalies, and flagging issues early.
L&D Support – employee training tracking, maintenance, and scheduling.
Project Management and process documentation – managing adhoc projects and maintaining SOPs, checklists, and process maps.
Scenario modelling – running operational forecasts based on metrics and creating/presenting risk and opportunities for process improvement.
Role Requirements
Highly proficient in Microsoft applications in particular advanced Excel. Ability to gather data, effectively compile, analyse & report through pivot tables, graphs, v‑look‑up, etc.
System and project management skills: comfortable navigating a variety of internal and external systems and applications. Effectively manage project deliverables to timelines.
Excellent communication – written and verbal: ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple suppliers, factory customers, and stakeholders with high level of professionalism.
Additional technical data analytics skills such as creating Power BI reports and/or other similar types of data analytics tools. Ability to crunch data and use other data analytical skills to create automated reports and system solutions to drive efficiencies.
Exhibits skills capable of driving value and improvements across the operations team – quality and output analytics and reporting, L&D tracking across the organisation.
3+ years of work experience in an Operations, Engineering or Business Administration support role.
