DesignBuild Search is seeking aGraduate Engineeron behalf of our client based in Co. Galway. Our client is a world leader in the development of a wide range of products and services for the road industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Graduate Engineer to work along side an experienced team, who are experts in the road maintenance sector. Responsibilities Conduct chemical, bitumen and bitumen emulsion testing to defined specifications and test procedures Record, analyze and communicate tests results to the Technical Manager, plant foreman and other team members Participate in product development work and technical support for both Chemoran, the group of Colas companies and external customers Participate in the development of new test methods Ensure equipment is calibrated and standardized according to schedule Communicate with Technical Manager to maintain an adequate inventory of small equipment, chemicals, and other supplies needed in the laboratory Understand and comply with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems of the Colas Ireland group Perform other general tasks and appropriate duties as required Requirements: A Bachelors Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Good communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical reports. A knowledge of pavement materials, testing and pavement design methods would be advantageous. Skills: Engineering
