Job Title: Financial Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our finance department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing annual budgets, reviewing quarterly financial reports, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
A key requirement for this role is a strong understanding of financial controls and the ability to maintain accurate records.
We require a professional accounting qualification, 3+ years' experience in a similar environment, and strong IT skills.
This role involves managing bank accounts, reconciliations, budget variance reports, and reviewing junior staff work. Experience with SURF/Bright Books or similar accounting package would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage financial operations, including bank account management and reconciliations
* Prepare monthly budget variance reports and review junior staff work
* Review and revise financial controls as required
* Ensure timely completion of tasks and meet strict deadlines
Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
* 3+ years' experience in a similar environment
* Strong experience maintaining financial controls
* Good understanding of financial requirements of state funders
* Experience with SURF/Bright Books or similar accounting package an advantage
