This role ensures the successful delivery of fitout projects, ongoing account growth, and exceptional client satisfaction. The KAM acts as the primary commercial and relationship lead for key accounts, coordinating closely with project delivery teams to ensure consistent standards, communication, and profitability.Key Responsibilities (this is not an exhaustive list):Client Relationship & Account ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for designated key retail clients.Build strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders (operations, property, procurement, design).Understand client needs, brand standards, rollout plans, and long-term retail strategies.Conduct regular engagement meetings, performance reviews, and forward-planning sessions.Manage client expectations and ensure a proactive service approach.Project & Programme SupportWork with project managers, QS teams, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.Support planning and coordination for rollouts, refurbishments, small works, and special projects.Ensure adherence to client brand guidelines, technical specifications, and compliance requirements.Track project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring timely resolution.Commercial & Financial ManagementOversee commercial performance of each account, including pricing, margin management, and forecasting.Manage tenders, quotations, and framework agreements in conjunction with commercial teams.Identify opportunities for revenue growth across categories (fitout, maintenance, joinery, design support, etc.).Prepare account dashboards, KPIs, financial summaries, and board-level reporting.Strategic Growth & Business DevelopmentDevelop a deep understanding of client future expansion and refurbishment strategies.Proactively identify opportunities for additional services, project volumes, and long-term partnerships.Support bids, framework submissions, and major proposal presentations.Work with senior leadership on long-term account positioning and competitive strategy.Internal CollaborationCollaborate closely with project delivery, manufacturing, design, estimating, H&S, and finance.Brief internal teams on client expectations, standards, and upcoming programmes.Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistent delivery quality.Lead internal account meetings and post-project reviews.Service Excellence & Continuous ImprovementEnsure high levels of client satisfaction and manage any service issues quickly and professionally.Monitor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and client scorecards.Identify areas for service, process, or communication improvement both internally and externally.Drive innovation in rollout efficiency, cost control, and customer experience.Skills & Experience RequiredEssential5+ years' experience in key account management, project delivery, or client-facing roles within the retail fitout, construction, or interiors industry.Strong understanding of retail environments, live store working, brand standards, and fast-track fitout delivery.Excellent relationship management and communication skills.Commercial competency including pricing, margin awareness, and forecasting.Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent programs.Ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive delivery environment.DesirableExperience with blue-chip retail clients (grocery, fashion, pharmacy, tech, convenience).Understanding of joinery manufacturing, retail design processes, or facilities/maintenance services.Knowledge of industry software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar.Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.Personal AttributesProfessional, polished, and confident communicator.Solutions-driven with a proactive approach.Strong team player with the ability to influence and collaborate.Commercially astute with a customer-first mindset.Highly organised and detail focused.Energetic, positive, and adaptable to a fast-moving environment.Key Metrics (KPIs)Client satisfaction & retentionMargin performance & account profitabilityRepeat business and account growthDelivery performance (on-time, on-budget, quality)Tender success rateAccuracy of account forecasting & reportingJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €75,000.00-€95,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company eventsCompany pensionEmployee assistance programWork Location: In person
