Tiernan Engineering Ltd. is an established Electrical Contracting firm based in the West. We specialise in the commercial/industrial sector. We are seeking a candidate who has on site construction knowledge and also is willing to be involved and manage combined M&E and associated civil projects
As an engineer you will be responsible for maintaining focus on safety, quality, reliability and economy.
The successful candidate will engage with colleagues, be a team player, and manage and support a consistent, coherent and focused approach to ensure delivery of all pre and post project completion tasks.
The position is both an office and on site managerial and site assistance role.
We are looking for an individual to carry out the following tasks:
* Prepare and submit tech submittals
* Production of drawings for on site modifications
* Assist with tender submissions in developing material take off's from drawings
* Liaise with consultants/clients on the submittals and carry out any changes required
* Liaise with Office and suppliers on procuring the product as per tech submittal
* Liaise and help manage the personnel on site overseeing the installation of the agreed product
* Preparing coordinated and as built drawings
* Preparing handover O&M's
* General EHS management including processes, protocols and documentation.
* Experience in conducting Risk assessments and enacting measures to eliminate or mitigate risk.
* Assist with site induction, training & work permits
* Quality implementation
* Assist with signoffs on project stages
* Excellent Attention to Detail.
* Excellent Organisational skills
Required Experience:
* Degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification, but this role may also suit an individual that has achieved experience in onsite construction and now wishes to develop their potential further.
* Strong knowledge of CAD software and other electrical design tools.
* Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to work independently and without supervision
* Minimum 2 years previous experience within a similar role is essential
* Knowledge of current Standards essential
* Team player and leadership skills
* Full clean drivers license

Pay: €35,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
