Job Opportunity
SimoTech has a new opportunity for an experienced BMS Engineer to work on a high-impact, multi-million-euro life sciences expansion project at a leading manufacturing facility in Cork.
As a BMS Automation Engineer, you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a fully integrated Building Management System in one of Ireland's flagship capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery and management of Building Management Systems (BMS) for a large-scale manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with project goals and technical specifications.
* Oversee the integration of BMS with HVAC and electrical systems, ensuring seamless functionality and system reliability.
* Act as BMS System Owner for aspects of the project lifecycle, including design, installation, commissioning, and validation phases in all parts of the new plant.
* Provide input into the development and execution of FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ protocols to support system qualification activities.
* Liaise with equipment vendors to ensure deliverables meet project requirements, including interfacing new equipment with the existing BMS system/network.
* Track and drive progress, ensuring key commitments and project milestones are delivered on time.
* Ensure all BMS activities are carried out in compliance with site procedures, regulatory expectations, and cGMP standards.
Requirements
* Relevant qualification in electrical, controls, or instrumentation.
* Proven experience in a BMS project delivery role, preferably on large-scale life sciences, data centre, or critical infrastructure projects.
* In-depth knowledge of BMS commissioning protocols, validation processes, and integration with HVAC and electrical systems.
* Experience with IQVision SCADA, Trend controllers, and Siemens Desigo systems.
* Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
* Excellent communication and coordination abilities, with a collaborative mindset for working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
