An exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Operator to join our client, an SME based in Macroom on a permanent contract. This company is a well-known pallet manufacturer and distributor. This role will be based on a Mon-Fri week (8.30am-5pm) and would suit someone with experience working in warehousing/logistics.
Role Responsibilities:
1. The Logistics Operator will communicate daily with Customers, Suppliers and the wider internal team.
2. The Logistics Operator will take orders from customers and create picking lists for the floor staff, producing delivery dockets using Intact IQ.
3. The Logistics Operator will organise transport for these deliveries and work with the approved hauliers to ensure customers get their deliveries when required.
4. Maintain manual and digital records of transactions and update excel sheets as required.
5. Update Goods in Schedule daily and input details of all loads coming in for week ahead.
6. Manage and maintain all associated documentation in a timely and efficient manner, used to populate warehouse statistics data.
7. Coordinate and book in haulier delivery times in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Notify warehouse staff of time and date of load delivery using central folder.
9. Record and maintain all checked delivery dockets and book stock into the system.
10. Ensure appropriate GRN, quality check sheet and delivery docket are provided to purchasing department for invoice matching.
11. Container tracking and collaboration with shipping companies.
Role Requirements:
12. Experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office especially excel.
14. Experience working with warehouse management systems.
15. Transport co-ordination/planning.
16. Good organisational skills and accuracy are a must.
