The role requires a strong site presence and the ability to influence project teams and subcontractors to ensure all works are delivered safely, legally and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support Health & Safety management across commercial and residential projectsPromote a strong safety culture and provide expert advice to project and site teamsEnsure compliance with all relevant H&S legislation, client requirements and company proceduresReview and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety walksInvestigate incidents, accidents and near misses, implementing corrective actionsDeliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and workforce engagement initiativesMonitor subcontractor safety performance and complianceLiaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities as requiredPrepare H&S reports, statistics and KPIs for management reviewRequirementsDegree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related disciplineRecognised professional qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma / Grad IOSH or equivalent)5+ years' experience in construction or civil engineering safetyStrong knowledge of construction health & safety legislationProven experience on commercial and/or residential projects.
