Infrastructure Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee the management and development of infrastructure across multiple sites. As the Interim Chief Infrastructure Officer, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and wellbeing standards.
This role is central to the planning, delivery, and evolution of capital programmes and facilities to meet changing organisational needs. You will lead planning and execution of capital projects, ensuring integration with long-term development and sustainability targets.
About the Position:
* Strategic Leadership: Provide direction for infrastructure and estates services, ensuring alignment with national policy and climate action goals.
* Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day management of multiple sites and facilities, including regional responsibilities under statutory requirements.
* Capital Programme Delivery: Lead planning and execution of capital projects, ensuring integration with long-term development and sustainability targets.
* Team Leadership: Manage and develop cross-functional teams, fostering high performance and continuous improvement across estates and planning functions.
* Financial Management: Oversee capital budgets and investment planning, ensuring effective allocation of resources and contractor performance.
* Governance & Risk: Implement robust governance, reporting, and risk management frameworks to support compliance and strategic objectives.
About You:
* A third-level honours degree in a relevant field with a postgraduate qualification.
* 8 years' + senior management experience in estates, public infrastructure policy, managing capital portfolios or transformation programmes.
* Proven ability to lead diverse, multi-skilled teams through significant organisational change.
* Strong background in governance, budgeting, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects involving multiple stakeholders.
* Demonstrated responsibility for managing safety systems and promoting staff wellbeing across large estates or functions.
