Expert Quantity Surveyor Sought
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all project costs, ensuring that projects are completed within budget. They will prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
Additionally, they will manage NEC contracts, including interpreting contract clauses, managing early warnings, and assessing compensation events. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of NEC contracts and be able to analyse and assess variations, manage claims in compliance with NEC guidelines, and ensure timely resolution of any contract issues.
A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field is required, as well as a minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes is essential, along with proven experience with NEC contracts.
The ideal candidate will also be proficient in the use of COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project software and MS Office suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and negotiation abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all project costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget.

* Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
* Oversee procurement processes, negotiate with subcontractors, and manage subcontractor performance.
* Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
* Proven experience with NEC contracts is essential.
