Position Summary
The main duty in this role will be deputising to the Accounts Payable Manager with the day to day running of the office.
The successful candidate will be team supervisor to the Accounts Payable Team too.
They will be in charge of regularly maintaining the data in Integra system with bank/tax clearance/supplier details.
They will also be in total charge of the Fixed Asset register and the VAT 3 Instrastat Returns to Revenue.
Any new systems or projects in the office will be overseen and reported in this role i.e. testing/training of new systems and liaising with others to ensure full understanding and ability.
Full training to all new staff will be part of the role too.
At busy periods the job will require stepping in to various other roles in the office and covering for team members on leave.
Responsibilities
Deputising to Accounts Payable Manager's role.
Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
Revenue Returns on a monthly basis.
Working on any new projects which arise.
Communication with both AP team and managers with meetings/updates regularly.
Supervision and training of Accounts Payable staff to achieve productivity, accuracy, account reconciliations and maintenance of appropriate records.
Allocation of duties and workloads among Accounts Payable staff.
Qualifications
Selection criteria outline the qualifications, skills, knowledge and/or experience that the successful candidate would need to demonstrate for successful discharge of the responsibilities of the post.
Applications will be assessed on the basis of how well candidates satisfy these criteria.
Mandatory
Experience in Accounts essential.
Good knowledge of Excel extremely important.
The ability to work well with others and work on own initiative.
The candidate must be able to work on various tasks together and prioritise where necessary.
The successful candidate would really need experience working in a high pressure department with very high volumes of emails and post.
Good communication skills and excellent organisational skills are a must.
Desirable
Accounts Payable experience would be desirable but not absolutely mandatory.
Any account qualifications desirable also.
