About Us
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38.
We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post
Reporting to the
Head of HR
(or nominee), the
HR Officer
will hold a
permanent
role supporting the delivery of strategic HR initiatives across Stewarts Care.
Working closely with senior managers, they will align people initiatives with organisational priorities.
The role focuses on workforce planning, organisational development, talent initiatives, and leadership support.
The postholder will help translate organisational priorities into structured workforce and HR workplans aligned with corporate objectives.
Collaborating across departments, the Lead HR Officer Strategy will use workforce data, sector knowledge, and HR best practice to inform decision-making, strengthen organisational effectiveness, and enhance employee engagement within a dynamic health and social care environment.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum Level 8 Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years' experience in a HR role
Demonstrated experience contributing to workforce planning, organisational development, or strategic HR initiatives
Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
Experience within healthcare, disability services or a regulated environment is desirable
Proven ability to influence and build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Experience supporting change initiatives and organisational improvement projects
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and provide insights
A postgraduate qualification in HR or management is advantageous

Salary
In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the current salary scale is Grade V – Clerical, €52,235 - €62,485 per annum (including LSI).
