Overview

Fundraising Partnerships Coordinator at Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA). Based in Clontarf office 3 days per week and 2 days working from home.


Responsibilities

* Co-deliver the Corporate Fundraising Strategy with the Fundraising Partnership Manager and Head of Fundraising.
* Account manage an existing portfolio of corporate donors to ensure ongoing engagement, growth, cultivation and retention.
* Research and profile prospective corporate partners, initiate initial contact, and set up calls/meetings.
* Support the Fundraising Partnerships Manager to develop and deliver pitches to corporates for partnership opportunities.
* Support commitments and targets of Charity of the Year and other corporate partnerships.
* Collaborate with Community Centres and other services to identify corporate partners for specific service requirements (e.g., funding for buses, respite).
* Event manage IWA’s Corporate Wheelchair Basketball experiences to generate additional income.
* Support packaging of a Commercial Disability Awareness Training module for corporates.
* Source content for proposals and compile reports for existing partners; attend conferences/events to identify and cultivate partners.
* Develop marketing materials and web content; maintain website and internal SharePoint with corporate news.
* Maintain records (Gifts in Kind, cost tracker, corporate accounts on CRM) and generate invoices/set up new suppliers.
* Deliver on Fundraising Partnership KPIs to support long-term growth of the corporate area within IWA’s Fundraising Department.
* Support the Head of Fundraising as required; ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to.
* Plan and monitor income/expenditure targets; monitor partner growth, retention, value and ROI per partner.
* Assist in developing a data-led strategic approach to partner development and acquisition.
* Participate in team reviews, appraisals, objective setting and supervision; work across the organisation to engage donors and prospects.
* Attend fundraising events as required; coordinate administrative support and guidance on requirements.
* Engage companies across fundraising opportunities including long-term partnerships, Charity of the Year, staff-led fundraising and sponsorship.
* Leverage corporate opportunities (e.g., Sports Programme, Corporate Wheelchair Basketball, media opportunities) and maintain marketing collateral to engage and win partners.
* Offer engagement opportunities to companies for staff involvement and fundraising volunteers where appropriate.
* Maintain corporate database in IWA’s CRM following best-practice guidelines; secure ethical partners and manage corporate risk.
* Help develop innovative propositions to engage, cultivate and motivate donors (funds, direct asks, events, technology, campaigns).
* Report to Fundraising Partnerships Manager with dotted line to the Head of Fundraising; collaborate with Fundraising, Advocacy, Customer Care, Communications and Membership teams.


Qualifications & Skills

* 1 - 2 years corporate fundraising or business development experience, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
* Strong understanding of Charity of the Year and Sponsorship opportunities; track record of success in winning business in the sector.
* Sales and presenting skills; planning and organisational abilities; ability to work collaboratively and on own initiative.
* Strategic thinking regarding corporate opportunities within the sector and within IWA.
* Motivation, empowerment, critical analysis, decision-making; cross-functional working (grants, reports, marketing materials); experience in Customer Relationship Marketing.
* Behaviours: initiative, teamwork, high organisation, ability to work under pressure, customer service focus, flexible, data-focused, and results-oriented.
* Competencies in innovation, technical self-development, adaptability, resilience, accountability, communication and influencing, quality donor focus.


Remuneration & Benefits

* The current pay scale includes a 9.25% pay increase over the next 2 years (2025 to Oct 2026) aligned with the WRC agreement for Section 39 organizations.
* Salary range: €32,270 to €49,299 DOE.
