Role: Advertisement This is a key position which involves Youth Project programme planning, delivery, reporting, evaluation, staff management, resources management, and representation and advocacy in the local community and the field of Youth Work.
The Youth ProjectCo-ordinatorwill be responsible for directing, leading and supporting a range of youth work programmes including any new initiativessecured by YNR e.g.
successfully tendering.
The successful candidate will also be fully engaged in direct youth work.
The person will require a high level of motivation, a positive disposition and flexible attitude in response to the needs of young people and organisational change and development.

The Youth ProjectCo-ordinatorwill have strong working relationships with key professional stakeholders including; theYNR CEO, the Youth Project team, the WWETB Regional Youth Officer,and will work in close co-operation with theother projects at YNR to ensurethe delivery of best practice for our young people.
Externally; other youth-focused organisations, schools' key school personnel, multi-agency committees/networks and youth advocates.
The person will be responsible for funding applications, reports on same and budget management
Service, Programme Delivery &Management Responsibility for theco-design, planning, implementation, delivery, review and evaluation of the Youth Project Annual Plan and Strategic Plan at YNRMaintaining high quality information and data for reporting and planningGood practice within theday-to-day activities of the work, time management and tasksDirect Youth Work within the Youth Project is a key part of this roleResponsibility for targets/objectives -setting (individual & team) and their review & evaluation.Responsible for the development, implementationand reviewing of internal policies and procedures for the Youth ProjectEnsuring all reports are prepared to a high standard and in a timely manner, meeting funder and organisational standards and requirements, giving an accurate account of the work - external and internal reports.To work closely with key stakeholders such as WWETB Youth OfficersTo work in partnership with other statutory and voluntary agencies in Co. Wexford to ensure a consolidated, effective and efficient approach to service planning and delivery.To encourage and promote active participation of Young People in review and evaluation processes.To promote volunteerism within the organisation and to become involved in volunteer development including recruitment and training.Group facilitation and group programme deliveryChild Protection To ensure the following of child safeguarding practices, policies and procedures i.e.

· Minimum Level 7 (HETAC) recognised third level qualification in Youth Work
or
a relevant Degree (Social Care/Social Science/Community Development) accompanied by specific youth-related qualification or training
· Additional qualification in HR Management, Diversity or Equality studies, or other related field
Knowledge and Training· Strong IT skills including competency in the use of Excel & Powerpoint· Report writing & data capturing
· Budgetary management
· SMART goal-setting & measuring outcomes, statistical analysis
· Understanding and use of the NQSF & Logic Model
· Knowledge of the Irish school system & structure, including the main support structures & programmes in schools for young people at Second and Third Level Education

Additional Information Regarding the Role It must be understood that if the funding for the post is discontinued the post holder's contract may be terminated.
Annual Leave: The Youth Project Co-Ordinator will be entitled to 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus public holidays.
The needs of the job must be considered when applying to take this leave.
Hours of work: The Youth Project Co-Ordinator will be expected to work a minimum of 28 hours per week across the calendar year.
This will include evening work and some weekend work as required by the project.
Travel: This post will involve some domestic travel within Ireland and occasional meetings.
Travel and expenses will be paid in accordance with appropriate YNR rates.
Base: The employment base for this post will be New Ross Co. Wexford
Pensions: YNR does not operate a pension contribution programme.
However, YNR can facilitate employee pension contributions through your PRSA provider
