Job Description
As a Vision Impairment Employment Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals who are blind or vision impaired to achieve fulfilling employment, training, and/or education opportunities.
This position focuses on removing barriers to employment and promoting equal opportunities through collaborative government initiatives.
* Develop comprehensive case management plans and monitor progress with clients to ensure successful outcomes.
* Deliver job readiness training and provide personalized intensive job search support to enhance employability.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with employers to secure sustainable placements that benefit both parties.
Key responsibilities also include business development, such as promoting the benefits of employing individuals with vision impairments, identifying new employer partners, and supporting awareness campaigns to drive positive change.
Person specification includes a degree-level qualification in social studies, community work, health/social care, psychology, or related field, along with exceptional communication, report writing, and facilitation skills.
