Residential Services Manager and Person In Charge Job Description
This role is responsible for the daily management of all aspects of operational delivery of residential services. The successful candidate will also be the nominated Person in Charge and ensure the provision of high-quality, responsive, and sustainable services in accordance with HIQA regulations and relevant legislation.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders in close collaboration with the ISM.
* Lead and direct operational staff within services to foster a strong cross-functional team working ethos.
* Ensure quality and safety is at the forefront of service provision and adhere to internal and external quality and registration standards.
* Identify, analyze, and manage all high-level operational risks within the service.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in management or supervisory roles in health or social care. They should also possess experience as a leader with strong operational and general management competency, including ABI experience and formal training.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring the service delivered meets the identified needs and wishes of the people supported, allowing for active participation and engagement.
2. Actively promoting a culture of continuous improvement where shared learning opportunities are optimized and national/international best practice is embedded.
3. Leading and directing operational staff within services to ensure robust people management principles are embedded.
4. Ensuring quality and safety is at the forefront of service provision and adhering to internal and external quality and registration standards.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing all high-level operational risks within the service. Additionally, they will act as a People Champion of the Company's culture and values, focusing on employee wellbeing and bringing best solutions for employees to promote a high-performance culture aligned with the Company's strategic objectives.
