About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Heating Engineer / RGI Gas Installer to install and service domestic heating systems, helping homeowners improve energy efficiency and comfort. Key Responsibilities
Gas Installation & Servicing
* Install, upgrade, and maintain gas boilers, heating controls, and related systems in line with SEAI standards.
* Perform gas service alterations, including boiler flues, gas lines, and system components.
* Carry out routine maintenance and diagnostics to ensure efficient operation.
Testing & Commissioning
* Test and commission all new installations for safety and performance compliance.
* Ensure all work meets RGI, SEAI, and Health & Safety standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve installation or performance issues quickly.
Collaboration & Communication
* Work with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to deliver projects efficiently.
* Interact professionally with homeowners, explaining work carried out and ensuring satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Knowledge Expansion
* Stay informed about new technologies and energy-efficient systems.
* Familiarity with heat pumps or hybrid systems is an advantage (training provided).
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
* National/Advanced Craft Certificate (Level 6) in Plumbing or Heating.
* Registered Gas Installer (RGI) certification.
* Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates (training can be provided).
* 3–5 years' experience in gas installation and servicing.
* Familiarity with SEAI Codes of Practice preferred.
Desirable:
* Experience with heat pumps or renewable heating systems.
* Understanding of energy efficiency and retrofit standards.
