Job Title: Asset Delivery Expert
Our organisation is responsible for the end-to-end planning, designing and delivery of asset development programmes. This encompasses the three pillars of Project Delivery Management, Design Delivery and Project Services.
Asset Delivery brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from our Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations.
* Manage cost and variation issues relating to construction contracts and NSWC contracts.
* Provide estimation support for large network projects based on first principles.
* Develop and manage a standardised suite of reports to improve reporting capability.
* Coordinate and monitor cost engineering activities.
* Support Project Delivery Leads in developing Control Budgets / Costs / Forecasts with the Baseline Project Schedule.
* Support the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions on our Financial Systems.
* Assist with development of pricing quotations for network connections.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with various business units to ensure efficient progression of payments in accordance with contract conditions.
* Develop early contractor engagement to support the cost estimation process.
* Improve reporting capability and enable analysis via organisational system tools and processes.
* Track emerging trends and recommend corrective actions as required.
* Work closely with procurement and AP teams to ensure correct treatment of contracts, changes and invoices.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in utilities, pharmaceutical or civil infrastructure industries.
* Quantity surveying qualification.
* 5+ years of experience working with project management, project controls, cost, scheduling, budget analysis, contract administration and change control estimating.
* Good understanding of design, procurement, and construction management services processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all project team members.
* Ability to work on one's own initiative and seek direction as required.
