Helpdesk Engineer – 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Our Client:
A leading public sector organisation is looking for a Helpdesk Engineer to join their busy Service Desk team. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to critical IT systems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What's Involved:
* First-line technical support for applications, hardware, and peripherals.
* Supporting custom systems such as PULSE and FCPS, using phone, remote access, and step-by-step guidance.
* User account setup, password resets, permissions, and email administration via Active Directory.
* Monitoring servers, back-ups, and scheduled jobs to ensure system stability.
* Logging, troubleshooting, and escalating incidents where needed.
What You Need:
* 1+ years of helpdesk or technical support experience.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office and Active Directory.
* Experience supporting users remotely and handling hardware/peripherals.
* Great communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Flexibility to work shifts.
