Senior Civil Engineers: Project Design and Delivery
We are seeking a Senior Project Civil Engineer to join our client's design team. This role involves working on a range of projects, liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, and mentoring junior staff.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Design and inspect projects, including commercial, retail, hotel, residential, educational, and industrial developments.
* Liaise between the design team and project stakeholders.
* Mentor junior staff.
* Produce drainage/utility/service designs, including stormwater design, foul sewer system, watermain design, bulk earthworks & levels, lines/sign and traffic calming, and DMURS compliance.
Successful Candidate Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to translate designs into comprehensive drawings/information for construction.
* Experience in leading civil engineering site development design and construction projects, primarily in residential projects ranging from 50 to 500 units.
* Knowledge of the Irish planning system, particularly with regards to civil design.
* Experience in designing sustainable urban drainage systems and general building drainage systems.
* Membership of Engineers' Ireland, with an ambition to achieve Chartered Engineers status.
* Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize and manage workload, and work independently.
* Demonstrable knowledge of Technical Guidance Documents.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and good verbal and written communication skills.
* A full clean Irish driving license.
* Experience in compiling Planning & Construction Reports, including Infrastructure Design Reports, Drainage Impact Assessments, Construction and Environmental Management Plans, Operational Waste Management Plans, and Flood Risk Assessment - Stage 1.
