Job Description
As a senior quantity surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of residential projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will manage all aspects of cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and commercial reporting, working closely with the commercial manager and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
* Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets for residential developments.
* Oversee procurement processes including tendering and contract negotiation.
* Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
* Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, and variations.
* Evaluate compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
* Contribute commercially to project planning and risk management.
* Mentor junior QS staff and contribute to team development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Degree-qualified in quantity surveying or a related discipline.
* Minimum 8 years' experience in a QS role, ideally within residential construction.
* Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, contracts, and procurement methods.
* Proven track record of managing budgets, cost control, and commercial reporting.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficient in relevant software, including Excel, CostX, BuildSoft, or similar.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Full driving license and willingness to travel to site as required.
