Job Description
The Financial Director position offers an opportunity to lead the finance function for a well-established food manufacturing business experiencing rapid growth in Ireland, UK and EU markets.
You will report directly to the Owner and be responsible for managing and further developing a small finance team, P&L reporting, BS and working capital management, FP&A, KPI reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Process Improvement and maximising benefit from new system implementation.
You will provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers, and support key decision making on sales strategy, pricing, margin control etc with sound, data-based insights.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field, and a Master's degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA). They will also have at least 10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Management: Manage and develop a small finance team, P&L reporting, BS and working capital management, FP&A, KPI reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Process Improvement and maximising benefit from new system implementation.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
* Commercial: Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers, and support key decision making on sales strategy, pricing, margin control etc with sound, data-based insights.
* Treasury Management: Manage cash flow and optimize working capital, oversee treasury operations, including banking relationships, investments, and insurance, manage debt and equity financing activities.
* Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within our closely knit team of senior managers in Finance, Sales, Purchasing and Operations, identify opportunities for growth and cost reduction.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
* Master's degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* At least 10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
* Proven track record in financial strategy development and implementation.
* Experience in the food manufacturing sector is highly advantageous.
