Production Technician (Packaging Operations)
Location: Dundalk
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week; Rotating Shift Pattern

Almac Pharma Services manufacture medicines in tablet, capsule and powder form, and pack commercial drug products into bottles, blisters and sachets. We also provide specialised packaging solutions for medical kits, vials and syringes. From our state-of-the-art facility in Dundalk, we label, pack and distribute Advanced Temperature Medicinal Products requiring ultra-low temperature handling. The expert services we provide support the provision of medicines and treatments to patients around the world.
The Production Technician will provide technical expertise to the secondary packaging teams. They will support the efficient and effective running of technical operations, in accordance with associated protocols & batch documentation whilst maintaining schedule adherence and operational compliance.
Responsibilities will include:
* Operate process equipment according to internal procedures controlling process parameters with limits as defined within SOPs, Protocols and Master Batch Records and become the subject matter expert (SME) for specific pieces of equipment or processes, including equipment set-up, optimum operation, strip down and cleaning, and product changeover.
* Provide support to Production Operators/ Senior Operators, Supervisors and Technical Staff by assisting in process development, qualification and validation experiments as well as routine GMP operations.
* Accurately record and complete technical information and GMP documentation during production operations associated with pharmaceutical development, manufacturing and packaging operations.
* Assist with the design and delivery of Training material to other Almac personnel, this will include assessment of competency following training

Requirements:
* A methodical approach with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining accuracy in work
* Practical problem-solving ability
* Experience working with technical processes, equipment and associated documentation within a regulated industry is essential (i.e pharmaceuticals, food, aerospace etc)
* Leaving Certificate, or equivalent level qualifications OR significant previous experience working within the pharmaceutical industry
Working Hours:
Rotating shift pattern – Week 1 06:00-14:00 Monday to Friday, Week 2 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Additional Information
All applicants must have ongoing eligibility to work in Ireland
During periods of additional work requests this role will require additional coverage beyond normal working hours. It is a condition of your employment that you are able to fulfil this requirement of the role.
