Position: Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Boiler Maintenance Specialist) – Dublin
Role overview: Jones Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician specialising in boiler maintenance to join our team.
This critical role involves ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of boilers and associated mechanical systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, a keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and optimal working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify plumbing related issues managed through a ticket system to include mechanical system malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and operational disruptions.
Adherence to Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while conducting maintenance activities, prioritizing the safety of oneself and others.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and equipment performance.
Generate reports highlighting maintenance work completed and recommendations for enhancements.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work collaboratively with team members and external contractors to optimise maintenance schedules, resource allocation, and task completion.
Requirements
Proven track record as a Mechanical Maintenance plumber with a minimum of 5 years' experience post apprenticeship, demonstrating expertise in maintenance and repair within industrial or commercial environments.
In-depth understanding of diverse heating, cooling and DHW systems, their components, and mechanical equipment, with a strong background in maintaining various mechanical systems.
Competency in executing maintenance tasks following safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications, encompassing troubleshooting, repair, and component replacement.
Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and schematics relevant to mechanical plant and other mechanical systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to mechanical maintenance practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Experience in commercial and industrial sectors with a focus on LPHW, CHW and DHW maintenance and additional mechanical systems is advantageous.
