Civil resident engineers play a pivotal role in driving water network enhancements across diverse regions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with regional contractors to ensure timely project completion, adhering to contractual agreements and regulatory frameworks.
* Establish effective communication channels with local authorities to facilitate seamless project delivery.
* Conduct regular audits of health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSQE) protocols and address related concerns.
* Process work orders, approve service requests, and maintain accurate trackers.
* Review and sign off on as-laid drawings, working closely with infrastructure design engineers.
* Address customer complaints, provide feedback to regional leads and engineering teams, and manage meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
* Maintain comprehensive records, create lists of outstanding issues, and verify completed tasks.
Before commencing work, site visits are conducted to identify potential challenges and provide recommendations to infrastructure design engineers.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in onsite supervision, site engineering, or civil engineering works, including water projects.
* A degree in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing circumstances, including occasional travel.
