An Engineer is needed for a civil engineering contractor in the Irish civils construction industry, for work in Co. Kerry only. The right candidates will have good groundworks and civil works experience. Experience with concrete is also an advantage.
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Location: North Co. Kerry
Salary:- €50K - €75K (Commensurate with experience) + package
Duties:
* Liaising with client, subcontractors, direct labour, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
* Providing onsite materials quantities and measurement of works to be completed;
* Providing as built surveys
* Attending daily pre-works briefings;
* Producing daily diaries;
* Planning and organising work efficiently, to meet deadlines;
* Resolving any unexpected technical problems.
* Setting out on site with GPS and total station.
Skills:
* Degree qualified in civil engineering / construction mgmt.
* Previous experience in working for main or sub contractors;
* Operational knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations;
* Excellent communication and planning skills;
* IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
