 
        
        We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to join our growing team in County Cork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management while supporting a diverse client portfolio, predominantly in the retail sector.
Key Responsibilities:
 1. Assist in the preparation and review of management accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
 2. Analyse and present weekly KPI reports to the Senior Account Manager, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
 3. Identify and address financial control issues, recommending process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
 4. Implement and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain a high level of accountability.
 5. Oversee the accounts payable function and ensure efficient processes are in place to minimize delays and errors.
 6. Manage working capital to optimize cash flow and improve the company's financial position.
 7. Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
 8. Deliver financial control services and strategic support to clients, providing expert advice and guidance to drive business growth and success.
Key Requirements:
 1. Hold a Newly / Part-qualified accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
 2. Have significant experience in a similar position, with a strong track record of delivering results and achieving goals.
 3. Demonstrate strong financial analysis and accounts preparation skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
 4. Be able to train and supervise junior staff, providing guidance and mentorship to help them develop their skills and achieve their full potential.
 5. Be proficient in IT skills, particularly in financial software and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
 6. Display strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
 7. Hold Retail sector experience (although not essential), with a strong understanding of the industry and its unique challenges and opportunities.
