Senior Service Advisor / Assistant Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual to join our Aftersales team in a pivotal role as Senior Service Advisor with potential for rapid progression, or directly as an Assistant Service Manager.
This role is ideal for a seasoned Service Advisor ready to take on supervisory responsibilities and help lead the service department to new heights of efficiency and customer care.
The role requires a blend of frontline customer service excellence and operational support to the Dealership Management.
Skills required:
* Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers, ensuring a seamless and professional experience from booking to vehicle handover.
* Workshop Liaison: Act as the critical link between the customer and the workshop technicians, clearly communicating work required and service status.
* Service Sales: Identify and proactively sell necessary repairs, maintenance, and value-added services (e.g., NCT checks, detailing packages), meeting and exceeding sales targets.
* Process Management: Assist in scheduling workshop capacity, allocating jobs, and ensuring adherence to franchised dealer standards and compliance procedures.
* Invoicing & Administration: Oversee the accurate preparation, costing, and explanation of invoices, ensuring all labour and parts are correctly documented and charged.
Essential requirements:
* Motor Trade Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Service Advisor within a franchised motor dealership is mandatory.
* Customer Focus: Demonstrable track record of achieving high CSI scores and a genuine commitment to customer retention.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong basic understanding of automotive systems, service intervals, and repair processes.
* IT Proficiency: Excellent working knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Kerridge, Autoview, or similar.
* Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical information to non-technical customers.
